Computer Setup Guide
Initial setup instructions for the Dell Precision Tower 5810 acquisition computer.
Prerequisites
- Disconnect USB DAQ - Ensure the USB DAQ is not connected before beginning installation
Network & System Drivers
- Install GlobalProtect - Required for internet access
- Install Dell Support Assist - Automated driver installation tool
- See: drivers.md for driver details
- Disable Sleep/Hibernate - Prevent interruptions during data acquisition
- Go to Power Options and disable sleep and hibernate modes

- Install Audio Driver

System Optimization
- Remove Unnecessary Programs
- Uninstall OneDrive and other unnecessary programs
- Disable Transparency Effects
- System Properties → Performance Settings → Disable transparency
Software Installation
- Install MATLAB 2013b (32-bit)
- Install Ephus
- Copy

Install QCam Driver (v2.0.13.1 64-bit)

Documents→data→PAC→sutter_2P_rigConfig_PAC→drivers
Compatibility mode installation:
- Right-click the installer
- Select "Troubleshoot compatibility"
- Choose "Custom"
- Select "Worked with previous version"
- Choose "Windows 7"
- Continue with installation
Testing:
- Turn on camera board
- Launch Ephus
- Add Ephus to MATLAB path
- Run
startQCamto verify installation
